Over a year ago, the doctor ordered a CT scan of my lungs because there was "something" there that was evidently not pneumonia like they had thought. The CT scan showed a couple of "nodules" but the doctor didn't seem too worried, so I wasn't worried.
I had an appointment with him the day before I left to go help my son's family (the ones with the new baby). He was not happy that it had been so long and we hadn't done a follow up on the CT scan. He wanted me to have another one a.s.a.p. He seemed a lot more concerned about those nodules this time around.
So I made the appointment for yesterday and had the CT scan. I will get the results on Monday when I go back to my doctor (Pulmonologist). Of course, I was stupid and looked up "nodules" on the Internet, and it could be serious. It hopefully is benign, but lung cancer is one of the most likely possibilities, even in someone who has never smoked or had any risk factors.
If the nodules are the same as before, then it's probably nothing serious. Kind of puzzling, but if it's not growing in size, then it's not likely to be a problem.
Having to wait so long to find out the results is hard, of course. I would really appreciate your prayers that nothing is seriously wrong with me, either this or the other medical needs that I have procrastinated. Thank you!

Today is "World Sauntering Day."
I really like this one. It's something I can do pretty well.

From Wikipedia:
The exact year of its origin is unclear, but it is credited to have begun at Grand Hotel (Mackinac Island) in Michigan during the 1970s. The Grand Hotel has the worlds' longest porch at 660' in length. A response by W.T.Rabe to a growing movement toward the recreation of jogging. The idea of the day was to encourage people to slow down and appreciate the world around them.
Sauntering is a verb to describe a style of walking; it is not a sashay, prance, trot, or lollygag. Simply it is to walk slowly preferably with a joyful disposition. Sauntering has been spoken of most notably by many of the naturalist writers in history including Henry David Thoreau and John Burroughs.

Hello everyone ~Aceman myself and the two dogs have just returned from an 8 day holiday in Binion Bay -- so chilled out! The site is basic, but its proximity to the beach and surrounding landscape sell it for me.The site is 25 euro a night, with a deal on at the minute - stay 7 and pay only for 6! It is a very quiet site, with about 20 static caravans, and a long strip of land after these that caravans mobile homes and tents can pitch up on. The site owner Ian and his wife are so helpful and pleasant with a great knowledge of the surrounding area and tips of what to see and do. It is a great base for the clonmany festival which happens in August. Ian also holds a party for his guests in July when a marquee is pitched up and fun and games are had by everyone. Our satellite system let us down so had no TV, no internet and we still survived although Aceman did have internet withdrawal syndrome!! #
we had a visit from our son daughter-in-law and grandaughter on saturday and we had a BBQ and a trip to the beach...was great having them down and the wee one enjoyed herself playing in the awning
If you have never gone to the Inishowen peninsula my advice would be to do it!! So many hidden coves and beaches in a rugged landscape. The views from Mamore gap are outstanding.
Would i go back - in a flash! Miss it already -
I just saw a video of a news team interviewing people on the street.
They stopped people mostly in their younger 20's and asked them what the initials I.R.S. stand for. I was shocked that some didn't know what it was! How could they not know?

Hey. Going away this summer and thought I'd join to ask for advise. Thanks!

While visiting my son, he made his own barbecue sauce. It was wonderful! I've always just used store bought, usually something like KC Masterpiece, Famous Dave's, or some other well known one. Once I tasted DS's, though, I realized what I've been missing!
So you make your own, or buy it ready made? And if you buy, which one? If you make your own, what is your BBQ sauce based on? My son's was based on a Kansas City BBQ recipe.

Been meaning to share this with you guys....I got the idea from pinterest and ran with it. It's basically digial 12x12 template put together in another file to make a poster. You print it out on an engineering printer at Kinkos (or staples I heard, but skip office max they don't have one big enough). It can be 36" tall by however long you want it. (I made mine 48") Know how much it cost me???? Less than $10!!!! I have to say people loved looking at it too. :-)Here is a picture, (I hope!)

Hi All,
I know this was talked about in a thread here a few weeks ago, but could not find the thread...so I got a box in the mail with a bunch of play worn cars and this #55B code 1 has silver paint too to the front grill and the rear bumper and look at the side of the rear...silver as the one in question in the first thread on this. I looked at this under a magnifier and it sure looks like it was applied by masked spray...maybe just a good model train guy...or is there a chance that a few of these had this silver trim applied???
Thanks,

Gail, baby Ellen and me called into the park today to see how the new reception block was coming on, its looking well and should be finished soon. This has been built facing the slipway, with new electric gates for access. The block contains a reception, toilets, showers, laundry room, a catering unit and 3 retail units.
They have also installed 5 camping pods behind the original block, but they are bunched in together. -

There is a short video showing the process of cutting and applying the vinyl to a wall. The only thing I would do differently is use a credit card to help press down the transfer tape onto the vinyl.
Also, if you watch it, pay attention to the angle at which she peels the paper backing off, and later the transfer tape once the vinyl is on the wall. That makes it easier.

This Sparrow is coming to the feeder lately. I've seen so many House Sparrows in my life, but somehow this one looks different to me. Mainly, the black on his chest. It comes down so far. Is it a House Sparrow ? I rarely get them at my feeders.

I've been out scouting a few new places for the number shoot in a couple weekends and have found fish everywhere. Had 28 Thursday after work, 20 Friday after work, then 50 solo on Saturday morning. Every type of fish you could think of made it in the bucket. Worked out to about 10-15 fish per hour. Should be some FULL buckets!

G'day folks, well I am at it again! I have just started my newest conversion, A Gulf War 1 Ferret Armoured Car Mk 1/2.
Here are a few shots of the commanders station and the beginning of the engine deck mounted stowage rack. I have also included a pick of the vehicle commander, a member of a HQ Troop embedded within 7th Armoured Division.
Close up gun mount pics are added for you especially Jock!
I will post more pics as I progress to give you all a clear idea on how I go about these Armoured car conversions, in particular the drivers hatch which I plan to photograph step by step.
Cheers.

How are the fires by you ?? I know COS is almost an hour south of you --just wondering how the "smoke" is up by you ??
I was sorry to hear that the fire effected the Royal Gorge park.
Those poor people who live in that area have really had it bad with forest fires these past few years.
- All the items I have for sale going to ebay tomorrow , so it's your last chance to get the offers in, many thanks..

I needed to make another card, in a hurry today. I am not much for making cards. I'd rather scrap. And I have trouble coming up with ideas for cards. It takes me forever.
I went and looked at some of the stuff I bought at the LSS yard sale. In one of the packets were two papers that worked well together that I would never use for a scrapbook page, but just begged to be made into a card. It was fast and easy. I didn't take time to scan the card because there wasn't time.
It may not have totally justified what I bought at the yard sale, but I did get some good stuff, and today I was so glad I had those papers to use!

My family took our second annual trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, last week. We stayed in the same condo building as last year--on the beach, within walking distance of a great breakfast spot--but in a different condo. We were on the first floor last year, and the third floor this year. If we go back to the same place next year, we think we'd like the second floor. We enjoyed the balcony more on the third floor, but going up and down the forty-nine steps several times a day can get tiring when there's a two-year-old involved!
Speaking of a two-year-old...here's her picture. She's sitting on the balcony with her father (who is one of the best daddies I know), and yes, that is a crown on her sunglasses. Her seven-year-old sister picked those out for her. The girls had a wonderful time at the beach, and the weather was good all week, except for Monday, which was our driving day, so it worked out all right.

the kindergarten teacher used sound muncher and math muncher as teaching aids (not trash cans, lol), they got married and had babies that the kids took turns babysitting toward the end of the year.
