  • Congrats Di!! I just adore this layout with Dennis and the way you hung the ornaments! Come give her some love!!

  • Here is a quick video i took with my cell phone of a male coyote warning all the other coyotes in the area.  If you ever hear this type of howl with this many barks out calling for coyotes, you have been made and your chances of calling something in has just drastically declined!

  • Hello fellow trappers!  My name is Chris.  I have a serious addiction to trapping and feel that it can only be cured by more trapping!  I'm a furtrapper first, and a nuiscance trapper second.

    Just to introduce myself
I am I suppose liking the older bikes as I currently ride a 1983 C50lac that I have had since new with 37000+ miles on the clock. I have also started a 1937-1940i ish possibly james autocycle. I say possibly as I cannot see any ID marks . The frame is currently buried at the back of my shed , so will post pictures later
The engine is coming on and nearly ready for a test run thanks to the advice and spares from Villiers services.

  • I've been getting spam texts recently.  First I asked AT&T (my cell provider) what to do.  They said to just text STOP to the texts, and they were obliged to stop.  Ok, fine.  But I continued to get other spam from other numbers (and continued the STOP routine).  Then I saw on tv news "If you are getting text spam, you have most likely already been charged for the service."  Sure enough, when dh checked our online bill I did have one $9.95 charge already, which AT&T reversed.  So if you get text spam, be sure to check your bill!

  • I wonder if anyone could help- I have a 1954 mobylette av33. My husband and I are in the process of rebuilding and have come to the tricky subject of petrol oil mix. My queries are 1. Do we use super unleaded or ordinary unleaded? And 2. What would the oil/ petrol mix be? Thanks.

  • Hi all, here's a few shots I thought I would share that I took todaygrinall 70s vintage

  • Heh All,

decided this morning that I would get my two cabinets down from the loft and get the boys organised... been a couple of years since they were last down...this is the initial set-up which will get tweaked here and there as I sit there mulling over Life, the Universe and Green Moleskin Mountaineer Trousers, First Issue.. (did I mention those already?)

anyway...You probably know these Ikea Cabinets... they are great for display and you get four 'apartments' to play in... if you don't then get some because they are perfect for VAM!!!

and I expect I'll have a month long tenancy agreement so the boys still in the dark upstairs get to see the light of day...
purely under humanitarian grounds... not because I want to play with my Action Men... oh no! angel

.....now to start the tweaking...bit here... slight adjustment there... like a samurai, only less sharp and completely different...

There is something very calming about arranging Action Men...'Vameditation'... and much less painful than Yoga ........all day long!!!

    :)

( I'm so glad I got the cabinets down... now I can plan!!!)

  • I hear Obama called the Giants to congratulate the team after the SB win. Then he called the Patriots...but the call was dropped.

  • I found this site which lets you put in your route and have it simulated in 3D by a wee car.  It's quite useful if you want to know what the roads are like etc or if your sense of direction isn't good (like me lol).  Its not fully functional as it may not show all buildings etc in some towns but its a good idea.  When you hit start 4x is a good speed to let the graphics load.  Pity the car wasn't a bit more sporty looking.  Aren't we spoilt with technology!!

  • I just got a telemarketing call from Mr. Number.
I obviously didn't pick it up.
    LMBO!

  • I'd vaguely heard of her, but not really paid much attention, until the Grammys last night.  Wow, what a voice!  I bought the "21" album from iTunes before I even went to bed last night.  Best selling album of 2011 and still No. 1 on the charts.  So how man of us own it?

  • For a lot of years, I've used one of those Tote-ally cool totes that we all had to have a while back.  However, the thing has developed a major slump and is practically tipped over.  Not functional any more at all.  I've emptied it and hung it by the top handle in my laundry room, hoping it straightens out and will be usable at least for travel.  Then I had a smaller wood one with a few other items.

    So two questions:

    1) What do you use for a tool caddy?  Do you like it?

    2) What are your most used tools that you want close at hand?

  • Why yes, thank you for asking, I DID scrap!

I've done 8 pages since Friday and have 4 more laid out on my table right now.  I used some epoxy stickers about "I love being your mom" that I must have purchased 10 or more years ago!  Shopping from my stash is going pretty well for me.  I intend to post LOs...but grrrr....now my laptop is on the fritz.

  • I looked out my back window this morning to see if any birds had discovered the additional suet  I put out when our temps went below freezing.  Much to my surprise we had about 8 deer parading through our wooded area!  There was a mix of adults and young, but no obvious adult male. We've seen deer in the woods down the street, but this is a first for on our property.  I hope you don't mind that I'm putting up deer instead of bird pics.

  • William,
Made a return to racing last Sunday. This is how the sprinter looked at the start of the day!
Crap photo! Between the glaring sun and the carbon fibre look, the camera couldn't work out a correct exposure.
In real life it looks dark and steathly...lol

  • What Does Everybody Think ?

  • While out hiking yesterday we got some pictures of a hawk.  Unfortunately, they are a bit blurry but hope someone out there can Id him/her from the pictures we got.  We were hoping he/she would move a bit, but he flew away after a jogger ran through the trail.  Thanks for all your help.

  • DH and DS went out for some errands yesterday.  My DS wanted a new Wii game and DH needed TurboTax.  Well, they picked up my Valentine present:  Wii Dance - ABBA.  (to continue my obsession with ABBA these days....).

    LMBO!!!

  • Today is sunny, gentle breeze after 2 days of 10" of snow and strong wind!  (Winter finally arrived!)  Of course Sat and Sun were my Feederwatch count days, and with the stormy weather, only had a few hardy souls at the feeders!  Today is much milder so I'm really enjoying seeing all the usuals back at the feeders!  Just saw 5 chickadees...only saw 2 at one time once on count days, and rest of the time only one!  Oh well, can't control the weather!

  • Do you like to work with sketches, and if so, what is it about them that makes it easier for you?  How do they help?

  • Having recently acquired a 19d in orange, I happened to notice that, there is a difference
in size on the  number ( 3 )  decal, between the two  cars.  Has anyone else noticed this on their examples?  If so, any significance to it?
