More States Putting Marijuana Legalization Questions on November Ballot

The calendar may say February, but 2012 has already been shaping up to become one of the most exciting years in marijuana law reform since Prohibition began in 1937. As days, weeks and months pass by, bringing us closer and closer to the November elections, it is clear that marijuana will become a highly debated, and heavily voted, issue.
Last week, we took a look at work that is being done by state legislators to reform marijuana laws at the state house, with several states deliberating medical marijuana, decriminalization or legalization bills, and others looking to expand on their existing medical or decriminalization laws.
In several states, voters are not waiting for their elected officials to end marijuana prohibition, and have taken to the streets to collect signatures to place marijuana legalization initiatives on their November ballots for voters to decide.
Many of these efforts are still gathering signatures, others are awaiting their signatures to be certified. In some states, like California, voters may have two separate questions to consider. Here are the states, and initiatives, that will likely come before voters in November:
California

Regulate Marijuana Like Wine
The “Regulate Marijuana Like Wine” initiative intends to repeal prohibition of marijuana for adults, strictly regulate marijuana, just like the wine industry, allow for hemp agriculture and products while not changing laws regarding medical marijuana, impairment, work place drug laws, or laws regarding vehicle operation. This initiative would also provide specific personal possession exemptions, require dismissal of pending court cases for marijuana possession, and ban the advertising of non-medical marijuana.
A recent poll shows that “Regulate Marijuana Like Wine” has 62% support among California voters.
Repeal Cannabis Prohibition Act 2012
The Repeal Cannabis Prohibition Act of 2012 aims to repeal current state criminal laws prohibiting the personal possession, use, transportation, and cultivation of cannabis by adults 19 years of age and older.
During the first 180-days following the passage of the Act, the Legislature would be authorized to create the California Cannabis Commission to develop appropriate regulations for the commercial production and sales of cannabis, including licensing and taxation.
Individuals are allowed to possess up to three pounds and grow a 100 sq. ft. canopy without being subject to regulations. It maintains penalties for possession by persons under 19, distribution to persons under 19, and driving while impaired.
Colorado
Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act
The Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act of 2012 makes the adult use of marijuana legal, establishes a system in which marijuana is regulated and taxed similarly to alcohol, and allows for the cultivation of industrial hemp.
The initiative would legalize the possession of up to an ounce of marijuana and six pot plants for people 21 and over. It would also create a regulated legal framework for commercial marijuana operations, including retail sales.
The campaign fell about 2500 signatures short of the necessary amount to appear on the ballot when the signatures were first certified by state election officials, but there is still time to collect the necessary signatures to make it onto the November ballot.
Michigan
The 2012 Michigan Ballot Initiative to End Marijuana Prohibition
The initiative proposes a state constitutional amend that states: “For persons who are at least 21 years of age who are not incarcerated, marihuana acquisition, cultivation, manufacture, sale, delivery, transfer, transportation, possession, ingestion, presence in or on the body, religious, medical, industrial, agricultural, commercial or personal use, or possession or use of paraphernalia shall not be prohibited, abridged or penalized in any manner, nor subject to civil forfeiture; provided that no person shall be permitted to operate an aircraft, motor vehicle, motorboat, ORV, snowmobile, train, or other heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery while impaired by marihuana.”
A Detroit Free Press/WXYZ-TV poll found that 45% of voters support legalization in Michigan.
Also in Michigan, voters in the city of Detroit may vote on a city ordinance that would legalize possession of less than an ounce of marijuana by adults on private property.

Missouri
Show-Me Cannabis Regulation
If passed, a the initiative would create a constitutional amendment which would regulate cannabis like alcohol, provide access to medicine for cannabis patients, and open a market for farming industrial hemp in Missouri.
The initiative calls for marijuana legalization for persons 21 and over, a process for licensing marijuana production and sales establishments, and allows the legislature to enact a tax of $100 a pound on retail sales. It also includes a provision lifting criminal justice system sanctions against people imprisoned or under state supervision for nonviolent marijuana offenses that would no longer be illegal and the expunging of all criminal records for such offenses. The initiative would also allow for the use of marijuana for medical reasons by minors with parental consent.
Montana
Montana First: Ending Criminal Penalties for Marijuana

Constitutional Initiative No.110 (CI-110) is short and sweet. It would add two sentences to the state constitution: “Adults have the right to responsibly purchase, consume, produce, and possess marijuana, subject to reasonable limitations, regulations, and taxation. Except for actions that endanger minors, children, or public safety, no criminal offense or penalty of this state shall apply to such activities.”
Provoked by heavy-handed federal raids and prosecutions aimed at medical marijuana providers and prodded on by the Republican-dominated state legislature’s virtual repeal-disguised-as-reform of the state’s voter-approved medical marijuana law, this is largely the same group of activists and supporters who last summer and fall organized the successful signature-gathering campaign to put the IR-24 initiative on the November 2012 ballot. That initiative seeks to undo the legislature’s destruction of the state medical marijuana distribution network.
Nebraska
The Nebraska Cannabis Initiative
Add Proposition 19 to the Nebraska Constitution whose object is to regulate and tax all commercial uses of cannabis, also known as marijuana, and to remove all laws regulating the private, noncommercial use of cannabis.
Oregon
Activists in Oregon are serious about legalizing marijuana. There are currently three different marijuana legalization initiative campaigns aimed at the November 2012 ballot underway there and, this year, there are signs the state’s fractious marijuana community is going to try to overcome sectarian differences and unify so that the overarching goal — freeing the weed — can be attained.
Of the three campaigns, these two seem likely to make the ballot.
Oregon Cannabis Tax Act of 2012
The Oregon Cannabis Tax Act 2012 is a citizen’s initiative campaign to regulate marijuana and restore hemp. Just as ending alcohol prohibition and regulating that market has protected society, regulating marijuana will help wipe out crime.
Restoring hemp, made from the seeds and stems of the marijuana plant for fuel, fiber and food, will put Oregon on the cutting edge of exciting new sustainable green industries and create untold multitudes of new jobs.
Citizens for Sensible Law Enforcement: Initiative IP-24
Currently known as IP-24, the measure would allow adults over 21 to use marijuana for personal use without fear of criminal sanctions. The bill has substantial safeguards to protect children and public safety.
With hundreds of signature gatherers on the streets every day, CSLE is confident the measure will appear on the November 2012 ballot.
Washington
Initiative 502
Washington’s I-502 has already been certified to appear on the November ballot, and it is perhaps the most controversial legalization bill among the cannabis community.
Washington State Initiative Measure No. 502 (I-502) would license and regulate marijuana production, distribution, and possession for persons over twenty-one; remove state-law criminal and civil penalties for activities that it authorizes; tax marijuana sales; and earmark marijuana-related revenues.
The initiative campaign is being run by New Approach Washington, which has brought together an impressive roster of endorsers and supporters, including TV personality and travel writer Rick Steves, former US Attorney for Western Washington, and a number of current and former state elected officials.
While most of the opposition to the initiative so far is coming from the usual suspects—law enforcement, drug treatment providers—some of it is coming from a segment of the state’s medical marijuana community, which worries that the measure’s setting a limit on THC levels to determine impairment in drivers could result in non-impaired patients being prosecuted.
But Dr. Kim Thorburn, Spokane County’s former top public-health official, who spoke in support of the initiative, said those concerns were overblown.”In order to be stopped for impaired driving you have to show impairment,” she said. “This is not a concern for medical-marijuana users and has been kind of a red herring that has been raised.”

Marijuana Legalization Question Should Have Gone to Detroit Voters, Appeals Court Rules
DETROIT, MI – The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled today a petition drive aimed at giving voters the option of decriminalizing the possession of marijuana was improperly barred from the Detroit ballot in 2010, a ruling that could pave the way for the measure getting on the ballot this year.
In a 2-1 ruling Friday, the court said Detroit’s city clerk and election commission violated their ”clear legal duty” by blocking Detroit voters from considering the proposal, which would have amended the city code to legalize possession of less than an ounce of marijuana by adults on private property.
“It was outside the authority of (city officials) to consider the substance and effect of the initiative and defendants have a clear legal duty to place the matter on the ballot,” the court wrote.
The appeals court’s decision reversed a ruling of a Wayne County judge, who upheld the decision by the Detroit Elections Commission to keep the issue off the ballot because they believed the proposal conflicts with state drug law.
The appeals court acknowledged that marijuana possession still would be illegal under Michigan law, even if the Detroit ordinance passed, but said that’s not the issue.
Tim Beck, leader of the Coalition for a Safer Detroit, who organized the effort to put the issue before voters, called the ruling “a victory for voter’s rights in Detroit.” Barring an appeal to the State Supreme Court by the city of Detriot, Beck said he hopes the ballot question now will become part of the August election.
Beck acknowledges that state and federal law both supersede city code, and possession of marijuana by someone other than a medical marijuana patient would remain illegal under state law.
Detroit police could still charge a marijuana user under state law if they choose, even if the measure passes. But they hope that the passage would send a message to local officials: “The City of Detroit has so few resources to deal with real crime — robbery, murder, vandalism, breaking and entering — we don’t have time for this,” Beck said.

Even the most brilliant mind is no defense against the disease of alcoholism. I can't think my way sober. I try to remember that intelligence is a God-given attribute that I may use, a joy -- like having a talent for dancing or drawing or carpentry. It does not make me better than anyone else, and it is not a particularly reliable tool for recovery, for it is a power greater than myself who will restore me to sanity -- not a high IQ or a college degree.

Sometimes we can't help thinking: Why can't we ever drink again? We know it's because we're alcoholics, but why did we have to get that way? The answer is that at some time in our drinking careers, we passed what is called our "tolerance point." When we passed this point, we passed from a condition in which we could tolerate alcohol to a condition in which we could not tolerate it at all. After that, if we took one drink, we would sooner or later end up drunk. When I think of liquor now, do I think of it as something that I can never tolerate again?

In a race, it is when the goal is in sight that heart and nerves and muscles and courage are strained almost to the breaking point. So with us. The goal of the spiritual life is in sight. All we need is the final effort. The saddest records are made by people who ran well, with brave, stout hearts, until the sight of the goal and then some weakness or self indulgence held them back. They never knew how near the goal they were or how near they were to victory.

1. How long does a small bottle about the size of a scuba tank bottle last? For say 6 glasses of 10oz water per day assuming each glass was ozonated for 10mins. (1.6 cubic meters I think they told me it contained) just roughly pls trying to estimate cost factor.
2. Do I need to purchase a regulator between the bottle and the unit?

Hello all. I have been sommersizing since 12/5/11. I figured if I could make it through December I could make it through any month.

I think I have only lost about 5 lbs., however I have lost several inches. I guess that's how my body works. I have went down 2 pant sizes.

I wish the scale would move but I will take what I am getting. I feel pretty good for the most part and love that I never feel like I overate with that bloaded feeling.

I from time to time eat the sugarfree chocolate candy as a treat. I know its not good for me since its funky and I'm still on level 1 but its so necessary sometimes. My question is should I treat this as a carb? That's what I have been doing but I didn't know since it was sugArfree if I could eat it anytime like sugarfree gummybears.

I have a horrible sweet tooth so I think that's one of the hardest things for me to combat.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I sweat a lot during the day. It makes it pretty much impossible to do anything physical. Even walking up the stairs or simple vacuming turns into my clothes and face dripping.

My question is, I know sweats are normal for MMT patients but I feel like this isn't normal. It makes everyday life uncomfertable. Would an increase help?

Science/Israel: Cannabis effective in cancer symptoms according to survey
At the Israeli Oncologists Union conference in Eilat in January researchers said more doctors should recommend cannabis to cancer patients. They noted that most cancer patients currently being treated with medical cannabis are advised of the option only in the advanced stages of the illness. More than two-thirds of cancer patients who were prescribed medical cannabis to combat pain are satisfied with the treatment, according to an Israeli study. The study conducted recently at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, in conjunction with the Israel Cancer Association involved 264 cancer patients who were treated with cannabis for a full year.
Some 61 percent of the participants reported a significant improvement in their quality of life, while 56 percent noted an improvement in pain. Researchers found that an average of 325 days passed between cancer diagnoses and the submission for a request to grow or possess cannabis. "The treatment should be offered to the patients in earlier stages of cancer," the report notes. To date, cannabis has been approved for medical use by about 6,000 Israelis suffering from various illnesses, the report states. Health Ministry officials believe that the number of patients treated with cannabis will reach 40,000 in the coming years.

USA: Legalization of medical cannabis use does not increase use in adolescents

Passing laws that legalize the medical use of cannabis in a number of US states decreased past-month cannabis use according to a publication in the journal Annals of Epidemiology by scientists of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in adolescents. They replicated a prior study that found greater adolescent cannabis use in these states and extended this analysis by accounting for confounding factors. Researchers used state-level estimates of cannabis use from the 2002 through 2009 National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
Cannabis laws decreased past-month use in youth by 0.53 percentage points and had no discernible effect on the perceived riskiness of monthly use. Authors wrote that their analysis "yielded little evidence that passing MMLs [medical marijuana laws] affects marijuana use." They concluded that there is only "limited evidence of causal effects" of these laws on cannabis use.

I remember following SS WOE many years ago. I lost inches, and lbs., but the best part is I felt great. I went off track a long time ago, tried to somersize again, but no lbs lost or inches .......Well, menopause, stress, heart valve surgery, two partial knee replacements later, I am returning to somersizing. I hope it is going to work again. I am a 60 year old woman who needs to lose 70 lbs. Here is hoping this will work. The program is fairly easy to follow. Wish me luck. I do walk 45 min. 4 days a week, and bicycle 20-30 mins 3 times a week. Keeps the knees working well. :D If there is someone out there that would like to help each other keep on track let me know. USA -- The drive to legalize marijuana has long been a fringe cause, associated with hard-core libertarians and college-age stoners. But it could go mainstream in a big way in this November’s election, when Washington could become the first state to legalize recreational pot use. If it does — or if voters in any of several other states do — this year could be a turning point in the nation’s treatment of marijuana.
The idea that a majority of voters could support legalizing marijuana may seem far out — but the polls say otherwise. In many states, the prolegalization and antilegalization camps are roughly equal in size.
In a poll of Washington state voters released last month, supporters of the legalization referendum outnumbered opponents: 48% vs. 45%. And Washington probably won’t be the only state voting on marijuana this year. In Colorado, supporters last week fell about 3,000 signatures short of getting a legalization measure on the ballot — but the law gave them 15 days to collect the rest, and it seems likely they will. Activists are also collecting signatures in other states, including California, Michigan and Montana.
For years, the debate over marijuana has been focused on a narrower question: medical marijuana. The argument that cancer patients and others with chronic pain should be able to alleviate it by using marijuana has been prevailing in state after state. Today, 16 states — including Washington and Colorado — and the District of Columbia have legalized marijuana for medical purposes.
Recently, the action has shifted to recreational marijuana use. Washington’s referendum would treat pot much like alcohol, so the sale of marijuana would be restricted to people over 21. The new law would give the Liquor Control Board the authority to license marijuana farms, and marijuana tax revenues would be directed to health and drug-abuse prevention programs.
But other states’ proposed laws are more laissez-faire. Colorado would legalize marijuana so that, as its supporters put it, cannabis would be regulated like “grapes, tomatoes or other harmless botanical plants.” Montana’s amendment focuses on decriminalizing marijuana but leaves it to the legislature to work out the details.
Supporters argue that legalization is long overdue. They argue that it is no more harmful than alcohol or tobacco — and that in a free country people should be able to decide on their own whether to use it. They also argue that, as a practical matter, laws against marijuana have been no more successful than Prohibition was against alcohol — and that, similarly, it has given criminals a monopoly on distributing and selling it. Legalization, they say, would reduce the number of people in prison, and it would shift revenue from drug syndicates to government in the form of tax receipts. Not surprisingly, the legalization drives have drawn heated opposition. Critics argue that marijuana is harmful and addictive — and that it is often a gateway drug, leading to cocaine or heroin. They say stoned drivers would be a menace on the roads. And they warn that if it were legalized, and readily available, marijuana use could soar. (The University of Michigan’s “Monitoring the Future” survey reported that daily marijuana use is already at a 30-year high among high school seniors, even as alcohol use has been declining.) The anticamp also argues that marijuana is stronger than it was decades ago — from two to 10 times stronger, some experts say. (Other experts dispute the figures.)
If Washington or some other state legalizes marijuana, that would not settle the matter. It would still be a controlled substance under federal law. And the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause says that when federal and state laws clash, federal law trumps. As a practical matter, though, the federal government does not have the resources to police everyday use of marijuana. If states begin to legalize it, the federal government might be hard-pressed to justify diverting limited Drug Enforcement Agency resources away from heroin cartels toward small-time pot smokers.
It is hard to handicap this year’s voting, but one possibility is this: marijuana legalization could lose in Washington and Colorado in November, but recreational use could nonetheless be headed toward legalization in many states in the not-too-distant future. Support for legalization has been rising steadily, from just 12% in 1970 to 31% in 2001 to 50% today, with young people (ages 18-29) the most in favor (62%) and older people (ages 50-64) the least (49%).
In strictly political terms, this is a powerful combination: fast-growing support and solid majorities among the young, who represent where the electorate is headed. (Support for gay marriage polls similarly — which is why it is becoming law in more states.) In a few years, the national discussion may well turn from whether to legalize marijuana to how to do it in the most prudent way.

Oakland, Calif. -- As the stubborn economic downturn has forced this city to take painful steps to balance its budget in recent years, it has increasingly turned to one of its newer industries to raise much-needed revenues: medical marijuana dispensaries. The city has raised taxes on marijuana dispensaries several times in the past few years, and last year it collected $1.4 million in taxes from them — nearly 3 percent of all the business taxes it collected. Now Oakland plans to double the number of dispensaries it licenses, to eight from the current four, in the hopes that it can collect even more revenue.

“This is general fund revenue — it all goes into the melting pot,” said David McPherson, the city’s tax and revenue administrator. “When you’re making decisions about what to continue keeping or not, it goes into that decision process. If you don’t have that money, then you’re making other decisions about ‘Are we going to close the libraries on Monday?’ ‘Are you going to end up cutting a cop?’ ‘Are you not giving funds to our arts and things that help our kids?’ ”
Sometimes lost in the discussion of medical marijuana is the extent to which it has become a small but growing source of new tax collections for cities and states that have been struggling to balance their budgets for more than four years now. Colorado Springs collected more than $700,000 in taxes from the medical marijuana industry in 2011. It is not a lot of money for a big city. But given the harsh steps the city has taken in recent years — in 2010 it shut off a third of its streetlights to save $1.2 million — every bit helps. Denver collected more than $3.4 million last year from sales tax and application and license fees, according to preliminary figures. The State of Colorado collected $5 million in sales tax from medical marijuana businesses last year, more than twice what it collected the year before. Taxing marijuana is a relatively new field, and cities and states are taking different approaches to raising revenues. Maine decided that medical marijuana should be subjected to the state’s 5 percent sales tax — unless the marijuana is baked into brownies. In that case, it is taxed at a higher 7 percent rate that the state levies on prepared foods. Oregon closed a budget gap last year in part by raising the annual fees it charges people with doctors’ notes to join the state’s medical marijuana program. In October, the state doubled the fee to $200 a year — with reduced fees available to people on food stamps — to raise an estimated $6.7 million a year to pay for other health programs. Of course, some of the money raised must be used to administer the medical marijuana programs and, in some cases, to increase regulation of the industry. Budget planners always deal in uncertainties like whether tax revenues will rebound or how much it will really cost to provide services. But projecting medical marijuana revenues adds other layers of complications, including whether the federal government will shut down the dispensaries that state and local governments have decided to allow. After signaling in 2009 that it would not normally pursue groups providing marijuana to sick patients, the Justice Department has cracked down on dispensaries in a number of states in recent months. The Internal Revenue Service has targeted a number of dispensaries that pay federal taxes as well, arguing that they are not entitled to the regular business deductions they have claimed because they should be considered drug trafficking organizations. It has made life complicated for cities. “What we do know is the federal government has made it complicated and the state government has made it complicated and it all flows downhill to us,” said Mayor Chuck Reed of San Jose, Calif., which collects about $2.5 million in taxes from the 100 marijuana dispensaries that have opened in the city. Here in Oakland, medical marijuana is booming. Just a few blocks from City Hall is Oaksterdam University, which offers training for people in the industry with classes in state and federal law, civics, legal business structures and various “methods of ingestion.” The biggest dispensary in the city by far, Harborside Health Center, has 104,000 customers and employs 120 people, 90 percent of whom are from Oakland, in well-paying jobs with good benefits. Its executive director, Stephen DeAngelo, helped lead the movement several years ago to have the city tax the marijuana industry. “At that time, the city was talking about closing down some really beloved institutions,” he said, adding that Oakland’s fiscal plight led the center to think about ways of helping the city. “What better way of doing that than with a tax?” But when the city tripled the tax rate to 5 percent in 2010, he worried. “I thought 5 percent was a bit excessive,” Mr. DeAngelo said, but he added that the center was able to absorb the costs. Now, he said, the center is among the biggest taxpayers in Oakland. Oakland will probably not be able to double its tax collections by doubling the number of dispensaries. Mr. McPherson, the city tax administrator, said that in many cases the same pool of medical marijuana users would simply be choosing from more places. But opening a dispensary near the Berkeley border, he said, might capture some of the Oakland residents who currently go to a dispensary in Berkeley. Mr. McPherson said the city stood to reap more of what he called the “secondary benefits.” “You’ve got accountants that are working for them, you’ve got all the security companies that are working for them, you have labs that are working for them, you have bakeries that are baking all the edibles, you have union employees that are getting great benefits, you have delivery services, hydroponic stores, doctors get some benefit,” he said. “It’s the secondary market that gains from this, and all of those pay business taxes to us.” A version of this article appeared in print on February 12, 2012, on page A22 of the New York edition with the headline: Struggling Cities Turn to a Crop for Cash.

A.A. Thought for the Day

As we look back on all those troubles we used to have when we were drinking, the hospitals, the jails, we wonder how we could have wanted that kind of a life. As we look back on it now, we see our drinking life as it really was and we're glad we're out of it. So after a few months in A.A., we find that we can honestly say that we want something else more than drinking. We've learned by experience that a sober life is really enjoyable and we wouldn't go back to the old drunken way of living for anything in the world. Do I want to keep sober a lot more than I want to get drunk?

My spiritual life depends on an inner consciousness of God. I must be led in all things by my consciousness of God and I must trust Him in all things. My consciousness of God will always bring peace to me. Dov'ero rimasta? Dunque il 30/12 dopo i bagordi natalizi la mia bilancia pesava Kg. 79.8 direi che i danni sono stati limitati!! ;-) Oggi invece...con mia grande sorpresa salgo (+ volte!!) sulla bilancia con il responso: Kg. 77.6 !!!

Cosa penso oggi: Babbo Natale e la Befana esistono! Nn solo ho festeggiato a dovere mangiando gioiosamente tutto ciò che mi capitava a tiro ma alla fine sono riuscita cmq a dimagrire senza nemmeno fare attività fisica!! Direi un miracolo!! :D

Cosa penso oggi: Ragazzi che delusione!! Solo 4 etti!! Ma devo vedere il bicchiere mezzo pieno...sono cmq 3 Kg. in due settimane e perciò va più che bene!! AVANTI! Oggi si ricomincia con la palestra e alla proxma pesata sarò un kg. in meno!

Cosa penso oggi: Obiettivo 3 CENTRATO! Magari settimana proxma saranno ancora solo 4 hg....oppure un altro kiletto se ne andrà? Staremo a vedere...intanto stasera si suda!! 1 2 1 2 1 2!

Cosa penso oggi: 1° mese di dieta andato e 6.2 kg sono un OTTIMO risultato!! Il morale oggi nonostante tutto non è dei migliori ma...passerà! :)

Cosa penso oggi: Risultato prevedibile visto che con la scusante del compleanno di mia figlia mi sono data alla pazza gioia con ravioli, affettati, tartine, torta, pasticcini e bibite gassate!! Una settimana sprecata in un giorno... Va bene così in ogni caso! Ogni tanto, nelle occasioni speciali bisogna poter sgarrare, fa bene al morale!! (non prendiamola come una scusa però!!) Via! Stasera vai di palestra con convinzione e...che una nuova settimana di dieta abbia inizio! A voi sgrassati come sta andando?

John, unde e palaria mea?- O aveti pe cap, sir.- Bine, o gasesc eu mai tarziu.- John, du-te afara si uda florile.- Sir, dar afara ploua.- Nu-i nimic, ia-ti umbrela.- John?- Yes, sir!- Adu-mi, te rog, pianul.- Vreti sa cantati la pian, sir?- Nu, John... dar mi-am uitat tigarile pe el si ma gandeam sa nu te deranjez pentru un fleac!Sir se spala pe picioare in lighean.-John!-Yes,Sir!-Adu-mi te rog un prosop, si arunca apa asta din lighean!-Prea-bine,Sir!John ii aduce prosopul, deschide geamul si arunca apa. De jos se aud urlete...-John!-Yes,Sir!-Era cineva in lighean?Lordul George da telefon acasa, de la club:- Alo? John?- Da, Sir.- Du-te in dormitorul doamnei si vezi daca e singura! Daca e cu un barbat, ia pusca mea de vanatoare pentru elefanti si impusca-i pe amandoi!- Prea bine, Sir!In receptor se aud doua bubuituri , apoi vocea lui John:Pe Lady am impuscat-o dar barbatul a sarit in piscina si a scapat...- Stai putin John! De cand avem noi piscina?- Nu va suparati Sir ce numar ati format?-Iertati-ma Sir, dar am impresia ca va cauta cineva la telefon.- Cum ai impresia, John? Sau ma cauta cineva la telefon sau nu ma cauta!- Vedeti Sir, cand am ridicat receptorul, vocea de la celalalt capat a spus: "Tu esti, caraghios batran, chel si idiot?"Sir si John erau naufargiati pe o insula. Dupa multe luni John vine la Sir tipand:- Sir, Sir, se vede un vapor la orizont!!!- Linisteste-te John, ce n-ai mai vazut vapoare?!...SI ALTE GLUMECand esti inteligent si cand esti intelept? Esti inteligent daca nu crezi decat jumatate din ceea ce auzi; esti intelept daca stii care jumatate!In bere e putere. In vin e sanatate. In cognac e distinctie, iar in apa sunt microbi...Savantii au ajuns la concluzia ca cele mai multe vitamine se gasesc la farmacie.Politia rutiera, la locul accidentului, explica intr-un interviu TV despre importanta purtarii centurii de siguranta:- Uitati-va la acest om care nu a purtat centura: capul rupt, intestinele pe parbriz, ochii in pom, fara maini. In schimb, uitati-va si la cel care a purtat centura: parca-i viu!In multime, la intrarea intr-o manastire, se aude un strigat:- Fratilor, merg! Un turist american viziteaza Londra, cand de-odata simte nevoia sa urineze.
Cauta, cauta si nu gaseste nici o toaleta.
Neavand incotro intra intr-o straduta, se apropie de un colt mai intunecat langa un zid mai inalt si incepe sa se deschie la fermoar.
Inca inainte de-a incepe sa urineze simte o bataie usoara pe umar.
Se intoarce si langa el se afla un politist tipic englez.
_ Scuza-ma domnule - spune politistul - interzis a urina in locuri publice.
Americanul se scuza, ii spune ca nu are incotro, ca nu se poate abtine si nu gaseste WC.
_ Te voi ajuta - zice politistul - vino dupa mine.
Il conduce pe turist spre o portita in zid si-i arata drumul in interior.
Turistul intra si ochii aproape ca-i ies din orbite. Se afla intr-o superba gradina, intretinuta, plina de aranjamente cu iarba, flori, tufe si copaci.
Politistul ii indica unul din copaci si-i spune:
_ Nici o problema, poti sa urinezi aici. Americanul urineaza, respira usurat si-l intreaba pe politist:
_ Spune, asta-i ceea ce se cheama amabilitatea engleza?"
_ Nu - raspunde politistul - noi numim asta ambasada franceza

Ana: Ce faci?Manole: Un zid. Te bagi?

Un tânăr merge la preot:- Părinte, am venit să mă spovedesc.- Nu este nevoie, ţi-am citit blogul!

La un semafor, opreşte la culoarea galbenă un Maybach.
În spatele lui, nereuşind să mai frâneze la timp, intră un Tico. Pe bordul Maybach-ului apare: "New hardware detected. Install?"
Judecătorul întreabă martorul la proces:- La ce distanţă v-aţi aflat de locul accidentului?- La 6 metri şi 75 de centimetri.- Şi cum de ştiţi aşa de exact? - Când am văzut accidentul, mi-am dat seama pe loc că voi fi întrebat la proces de vreun tâmpit asa ca am măsurat...

Erau doi ..... reni. Unul era numai coaste şi celălalt era numai coarne. De aceea, pe unul îl chema Costel şi pe celălalt Cornel. Vine soţul acasă şi-şi întreabă nevasta:- Ce ai face dacă aş câştiga la Loto?- Aş lua jumătate şi te-aş părăsi, răspunde soţia.- Perfect, spune soţul. Am câştigat 12 dolari. Ia 6 şi dispari!
  - Alo, draga mea, ce-ţi plac mai mult, bananele sau căpşunile?- Eşti la piaţă?- Nu, la farmacie!

Intră un domn într-un restaurant, se aşează la masă.Cheamă ospătarul şi îl întreabă:- Fiule, balenă aveţi?- Nu, domnule.- Caşalot aveţi?- Nu, domnule.- Rechin aveţi?- Nu, domnule.- Atunci dă-mi o costiţă de porc afumată şi Dumnezeu mi-e martor că am vrut să mănânc peşte!

  Afirmatii care in general sunt adevarate:

Niciodata nu ne maturizam cu adevarat. Invatam doar sa ne purtam in public.

Daca ma vorbesti pe la spate, inseamna ca nu esti in pozitia in care sa-mi poti da peste nas.

S-a dovedit stiintific ca femeile sunt multumite cu o lungime de 8,5 cm. Nu conteaza daca e .... Visa sau Mastercard.
